As ever, Ainol have designed a very nice looking player in the V9000HDG.  The player feels very accomplished in your hands with an extremely good 5" screen and solid aluminium back which makes the player feel top class in your hands, which it is.

 

Ainol have introduced their new UI (Unser Interface) with the V9000HDG which looks great using similar icons that you would expect to see on an Apple iPhone or iPod touch, and is extremely functional to use.

Inside the V9000HDG Ainol have used the Sochip SC9800 chip, which is probably the best chip being used in China media players at the moment.  It is powerful enough to run HD video playback smoothly with no audio lag or stutters at a full 1280p, which is very impressive, and also covers a whole range of video formats so can cope with pretty much anything you can through at it.

Couple this with the awesome screen which produces without question the best quality picture that we have seen on a media player with great depth and beautiful colours, the V9000HDG completely satisfies it's purpose as a portable video player.

Although the V9000HDG is predominantly a video player it can also handle audio without a problem.  The player doesn't support album art but it's on screen graphics look great and can also be switch to show lyrics if your audio files support them.

Another very nice touch is the ability to be able to rate your music with a 5 star rating on the go.  You can access this when in music mode also so you do not have to stop listening to music whilst you do this.

All the major file formats are covered so the player will play pretty much anything that you can through at it.

 

The text reader, which only reads .txt files is pretty standard.  Ainol have introduced the ability to be able to leave bookmarks which for all the people how use the text reader will find very helpful.  You can also alter the colour and size of all the text if you so wish.  Another nice feature is being able to read your e-books in landscape and portrait mode which is another very useful feature for all the e-book readers out there.

 

Photo browser is set to a default scroll through but you can also set it to fade in and out of you picture collection should you want something a little flashier.

 

With this player you also get a really great accessories box which will contain a HDMI cable, felt carry pouch, screen protector, wrist strap, remote control player stand and more.  This alone has an RRP of over £25 and it is thrown in for free.

 

If you are looking for a 5" screen portable media player then i would say that you search is over.  You will not beat the quality you get for the money anywhere, and as listed above the amount of free extras that you get with the player for me make it a star buy, and that's why we stock them.
