The brand new VX545HD from Onda used the latest Ingenic Chipset, the CC1600, which claims to run at an amazing 1.6Ghz.  That's more than 3 times the clock speed of any previous China media chip.

The VX545HD is a fantastic video player.  The powerful chipset allows for near perfect video play back on video's that are upto a high resolution of 1280 x 720.  So it can be considered to support 720p HD video quality.

What compliments the players media chip is the 800 x 480 resolution screen, almost twice the resolution that we normally see on similar sized players.  This allows for video to look even sharper and clearer than previously see before.

There is no dought that Onda have set the bar for portable video players with the VX545HD, giving other major brands a real run for their money, and in most cases out performing them.  You will be astonished by the sheer quality of the video playerback on the huge 5" screen.  It is crisp, clear and a joy to watch movies on.

With the quality of the screen on this player being so good.  Another possible use for it would be as a photo frame, made all the easier to use with a remote controle.

The audio on the VX545HD is also excellent.  Some people have said that the UI for audio is lacking, but after only a very short time using the player we found it to be very easy to use and not that different from any of the other Onda MP4 players.  With all music being sorted into album & artist list for easy access.
